What the Top Safety Pick awards mean
To earn these highly-valued safety awards, a vehicle must achieve top ratings in the IIHS front and side crash tests, as well as pedestrian front crash prevention assessments. In addition, the vehicle must come with standard acceptable- or good-rated headlights. With each passing year IIHS, has strengthened the award criteria, making the 2025 awards program the toughest in the organization's history.
